A significant meeting on QS Ranking was held at Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) on 18 September 2025. The discussion centered around strategies, action plans, and the collection of both academic and non-academic data essential for achieving a place in the prestigious QS World University Rankings.
The session was presided over by Prof. Dr. A B M Shawkat Ali, Honorable Vice Chancellor of BUBT. Among others present were Prof. Santi Narayan Ghosh, Director, IQAC, Dr. Md. Harun-or-Rashid, Registrar of BUBT, Mr. Zaved Mannan, Additional Director of IQAC, along with the Deans of various faculties and Heads of different departments.
In his remarks, the Vice Chancellor emphasized that QS Ranking is a globally recognized benchmark of quality and excellence in higher education. He noted that securing a position in such rankings requires a comprehensive and data-driven approach to ensure academic strength, research excellence, international collaboration, and overall institutional development.
The meeting also underlined that BUBT is committed to continuous quality improvement in education, research, and student services, aiming to raise its profile on the international stage. Participants stressed the importance of taking the right measures in the right direction, as QS Ranking not only enhances institutional reputation but also opens doors for global partnerships and opportunities for students and faculty members.
