Short intro about Office of the Accounts and Finance

The Office of Finance and Accounts operate under the supervision of the Treasurer, BUBT. It is responsible for maintaining financial discipline, transparency, and accountability across all university transactions and operations.

Office Overview

The Office of Finance and Accounts play a central role in managing BUBT’s financial system. It oversees budget implementation, income and expenditure monitoring, fund disbursement, and accounting operations. The department ensures proper bookkeeping, audit compliance, and coordination with academic and administrative units to maintain financial efficiency. Through effective planning and reporting, it supports the Treasurer’s Office in ensuring sustainable growth and resource management for the university.

Scholarships & Waiver

There are provisions for scholarship, stipend and tuition fee waiver for the students in BUBT.

  • Scholarships, stipends and fee waivers are awarded to a minimum of 6% students of the University on the basis of need and merit.
  • 10%-100% Tuition fee waiver/scholarship for poor and meritorious students.
  • 25%-100% Tuition fee waiver based on the results of the SSC and HSC Examinations (for first semester only).
  • 25%-100% Tuition fee waiver based on the semester results at BUBT.
  • Special tuition fee waiver for siblings (25% each).
  • 100% Waiver on Tuition Fee for Children of the Freedom Fighters.
  • 25% waiver will be enjoyed by the students of Dhaka Commerce College (DCC) and 25% for Principal Kazi Faruky School & College.
  • 20% waiver on Tuition fee for BUBT Students admitted in Master’s Program.
  • 20% waiver on Tuition fee for DCC Graduate Students admitted in Master’s Program.

Fee Payment Procedure:

  1. Tuition and Semester fees must be paid on a semester basis.
  2. Caution/Security money is refundable and must be paid with the 1st semester fees:
    1. 3,000/- for undergraduate programs
    2. 2,000/- for graduate programs
  3. Other Activity Fee of Tk. 3,000/- (non-refundable) must also be paid with the 1st semester fees.
  4. Other Semesters' costs will depend on the number of credits offered.
  5. The admission fee is non-refundable.
  6. All payments should be made to the designated bank by pay order or cash, using the prescribed money receipt collected from the Accounts Section of BUBT. Payment through Bkash, Rocket or SSL Commerce is also available.
  7. Fees are payable as per the following schedule:
    1. New Students: The total fees for the 1st semester must be paid at the time of admission, either in full or through installments.
    2. Existing students:
      1. At least Tk. 5,000/- or any other amount designated by the concern authority must be paid at the time of Registration.
      2. 50% of the total semester fees must be paid at the time of the Mid-Term examination.
      3. The remaining amount is payable as per the payment schedule, before the Final examination.
  8. A specific amount of fine will be charged for failure to pay fees within the scheduled date. Students will not be allowed to sit for the Semester Final Examination unless all dues are cleared before the examination begins.
