On August 31, 2025, the Department of Law and Justice of Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with eight renowned organizations of the country to enhance opportunities for students in internships, employment, and research.

The participating organizations are—Human Rights Support Society (HRSS), Legality, Mindvana Limited, IT BEATS, LEGAL STEP, JuryCase, Advocate Farid Ahmed & Associates, and Legal Care.

The Honorable Vice Chancellor of BUBT, Prof. Dr. A B M Shawkat Ali, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. In his remarks, he said, “These MoUs will not only help develop the skills of our students but also build a strong foundation for their professional careers.”

Prof. Dr. Syed Sarfaraz Hamid, Dean of the Faculty of Law at BUBT, attended as the Special Guest. In his speech, he noted, “This initiative will allow students to directly connect their academic knowledge with practical experience in the legal profession, which will have a profound positive impact on their future careers.”

Also present at the ceremony were Assistant Professor Md. Ashif-Ul-Haque, Chairman of the Department of Law and Justice, faculty members of the department, and senior officials from the eight participating organizations.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chairman of the Department said, “These MoUs will open up new horizons for our students. Through this, they will not only pursue legal education but also gain relevant real-life experience.”

Through these MoUs, students of BUBT’s Department of Law and Justice will have the opportunity to acquire practical experience. At the same time, a meaningful platform will be created for collaboration in research activities and skill development.
