Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) inaugurated its Digital Literacy and IT Skill Training Program on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, aimed at enhancing the IT competencies of its officers and employees.

The inauguration ceremony was graced by the Honorable Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. A B M Shawkat Ali, who officially launched the training program. In his inaugural address, Professor Ali emphasized the importance of IT skills in the modern era, stating: "This training program will not only enhance the capabilities of our officers and employees but will also open new avenues for acquiring knowledge, ensuring they remain competitive in their respective roles."

Prominent figures in attendance included Honorable Advisor and Member of the Board of Trustees, Professor Md. Abu Saleh, who highlighted the strategic importance of such initiatives in his speech. Registrar, Dr. Md. Harun-or-Rashid expressed optimism about the positive impact the program would have on institutional efficiency. Director of IQAC, Professor Santi Narayan Ghosh elaborated on the role of continuous professional development in maintaining academic and administrative excellence. Assistant Professor Md. Saifur Rahman, Chairman of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, shared insights on the evolving demands of IT skills in today's technological landscape.

The program is expected to significantly enhance the digital literacy of the university's workforce, aligning with BUBT's commitment to fostering innovation and excellence in education and administration.
