The 5th Convocation of Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) was held on May 31, 2022 at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center. Dr. Dipu Moni MP, Hon’ble Minister, Ministry of Education presided over the convocation ceremony as the representative of the Hon’ble President and Chancellor of the university and conferred degrees on the graduates.

Professor Dr. Dil Afroza Begum, Chairman (Acting), University Grants Commission of Bangladesh (UGC) delivered speech as the Special Guest while Professor Dr. Shafique Ahmed Siddique, Chairman, BUBT Trust, Convocation Speaker Prof. Dr. Syed Anwar Husain, Professor of Bangabandhu Chair, Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) and Prof. Dr. Md. Fayyaz Khan, the Vice Chancellor of the university also spoke on the occasion.

A total of 3311 graduates received degrees in this convocation. Six students received Gold Medals.

The education minister Dr. Dipu Moni MP said that, the Ministry of Education is shouldering great challenges to turn students of the country to an educated workforce. It is trying to achieve paradigm shift in education through qualitative changes in teaching, learning and assessment. She said, “I am satisfied to see that among the private universities of the country, BUBT is progressing fast.” She also said that, BUBT is an all-compliant university. The satisfactory news is that the university is sincerely trying to follow outcome-based curriculum for its students to produce skilled workforce. She appreciated BUBT Authority for successfully handling the daunting challenge of continuing online education during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Professor Dr. Shafique Ahmed Siddique, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, said that, BUBT graduates will establish themselves as worthy citizens of the country. He wished that graduating students will continuously accomplish in their professional lives and make BUBT proud of their achievements.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Fayyaz Khan congratulated the graduates for successful completion of the programs and also their parents for the great achievements of their wards. Furthermore, he conveyed his appreciation to the teachers and the members of administration for their valuable services rendered to the students.

Members of the Board of Trustees, Syndicate, Academic Council, Distinguished Guests, and Journalists along with respected Deans, Chairmen, faculty members, officials and students were present in the convocation ceremony.

The 5^th Convocation of BUBT ended with a colorful cultural program followed by Convocation dinner.
