BUBT Hosts Insightful “Job Hunting 2.0” Session Under the GritQuest Career Development Program

15 November 2025 — The Career Guidance, Counselling and International Affairs Office of Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) successfully organized a special session titled “Job Hunting 2.0”: How to turn connections into opportunities, as part of its month-long career development initiative, GritQuest. The event was held on Saturday, 15 November 2025, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the BUBT International Conference Hall.
The keynote address was delivered by Mr. Shoeb Hasan, Chief Business Officer of Nextjobz Limited ( A Concern of Akij Resources) who shared strategic insights into modern recruitment trends, skill-based hiring, and effective job-search techniques in today’s digital employment landscape. His presentation emphasized the growing importance of personal branding, networking, and data-driven job market preparation.
Students gained practical guidance on optimizing resumes, leveraging professional platforms, performing well in virtual assessments, and aligning career aspirations with industry demand. The session aimed to empower participants to confidently navigate competitive job markets with updated tools and informed strategies.
One of the most engaging segments of the event was a live competitive activity where participating students took part in real-time corporate tasks. Through this competition, students received an exclusive opportunity to qualify for internship placements at Akij Resources, adding an exciting and highly motivating dimension to the program. This interactive segment not only assessed students’ practical skills but also strengthened industry–academia collaboration.
The GritQuest program continues to serve as a comprehensive platform for enhancing students’ employability through expert-led workshops, training sessions, and interactive discussions.
