The Department of English at the Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) celebrated the grand finale of Lit Carnival 2025 on October 27, marking a significant achievement for the newly appointed ad hoc committee of the BUBT English Club. Held from October 19 to 26, the week-long festival became one of the most vibrant literary celebrations in the department’s history, blending creativity, intellect, and cultural expression.

Over 200 students participated, showcasing their enthusiasm across diverse literary and artistic segments. The Critical Thinking Session encouraged analytical discussions on literary and contemporary topics, sharpening participants’ reasoning and interpretation skills. The Wall Magazine Exhibition displayed poems, short writings, and illustrations exploring themes such as love, identity, and social awareness, while the Literary Painting Display allowed students to visualize famous literary works, merging art and literature creatively.

The Literary Talk Show engaged students and faculty in thoughtful discussions on the relevance of literature in modern life. Drama performances and poem recitations captivated audiences with expressive storytelling, and the Quiz Competition tested participants’ knowledge of literature, culture, and language through written and oral rounds. The Short Film Screening further highlighted literary themes through cinematic storytelling.

The Grand Finale, held at the BUBT International Conference Hall, concluded the carnival on a celebratory note. 50 top scorers received Certificates of Appreciation, while all participants were recognized for their contributions.

Distinguished faculty members, including Prof. Dr. K Ahmed Alam, Md. Reza Hassan Khan, Dr. Kazi Shamema Islam, and Meria Nusrat Sarkar, attended the event, commending the students’ efforts and the club’s excellent coordination.

Lit Carnival 2025 demonstrated the dedication, teamwork, and leadership of the English Club committee, celebrating literature and art while fostering creativity, critical thinking, and cultural awareness among BUBT students.
